- Preliminary scouting with photographs and location information.

- Digital photos via this website's Location Library, fax or e-mail.

- DVD with running footage of sample commercial locations.

- On-line production guide with information on local locations, crew, equipment, weather and services.

- Permit information and local contacts.

- Liaison between local, City, State and federal agencies and the private sector

- Build local awareness of the economic benefits of filming in the area

- Provide community outreach.

The Humboldt County Film Commission (HCFC) is recognized by the County of Humboldt and the California Film Commission, as the official advocate for filming interest in Humboldt County , CA . The HCFC is a member of the Association of Film Commissions International (AFCI) and designated a member of the FLICS (Film Liaisons In California Statewide). The FLICS title acknowledges the HCFC staff as professionals with knowledge of all matters that affect production in Humboldt County .

Located at the top of the state, in Northwest California, Humboldt County is the southern gateway to the Pacific Northwest. Our southern border is 225 miles north of San Francisco, the closest major metropolitan city. The County is linked by Coastal Highway 101 to the rest of California to the South and the Oregon Coast to the North. Highway 299 links the County to Interstate 5 to the east.

The Arcata/Eureka (ACV) airport has daily flights to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Sacramento, Salt Lake City, Portland and Seattle.
